As a photographer, writer, and woman of faith, I feel called to listen as well as envision, to say “please” and “thank you” for gifts of presence, and to be true to the stories that are mine to tell. Mindful photography implies a call and response, a connection to light, to land, to birds or wildlife. I find great joy in serendipitous experiences in the wild. What draws my eye and heart is what I want the viewer to experience with me. To that end, my portfolio is arranged to honor the experiences I have and the ways I feel when out in nature rather than by traditional subjects.
